Urban Decay Naked Palette-To The Rescue!

Have you ever had a moment where you needed your makeup to look flawless but time was NOT on your side? Earlier in the month, I had a wedding to go to and the makeup I picked out did not look well with the dress. Running on such limited time, I busted out my Urban Decay Naked Palette because I thought a few of the colors would look perfect with my dress. The look came out fabulous and I was very happy that I had created such sultry smokey eyes in like 10 minutes!

Today I had a shoot and the focal point were my tattoos (be on the lookout for a tattoo collection video soon). I wanted my makeup to stand out for the sake of catching the ambiance spirit of the shoot. So I wound up doing my super quick smokey eye makeup that I did for the wedding. I used Virgin, Smog, Hustle & Creep. While the Naked Palette isn’t my favorite palette in the whole world, I love it because it has the ability to create fantastic sultry looks–in my case–when I’m on a time crunch and about to have a meltdown! *lol*

Crisis averted!

After the shoot, I got dressed and I wore my two newest accessories that my beautiful YouTube buddy, Tara sent me!

LONG BUT EXCITING WEEK AHEAD!! xo

Bohemian Chic

Today was warm enough to wear my maxi dress. This is one of my favorite dresses to wear in the Spring & Summer time. The stitching and detailing is just beautiful. this is the only maxi dress in my wardrobe, I want to invest in more of them.

This style of dress may not do  much to accentuate your height & length (I feel like I photograph somewhat stubby in it-lol), but it’s an ultra feminine piece to have in your closet.  I usually paid this dress with flat sandals and a clutch, I feel like a  bag–especially my LV Speedy 35 Monogram would just be overkill with this maxi dress. I got this beautiful vintage clutch from eBay some time ago…I believe it’s circa 1950′s. It pairs very nicely with this dress.

For makeup, I used a few golden olive colors from my Urban Decay Naked Palette. I wanted the look to be glowy, dewy, golden yet sultry. I don’t think the pictures do the look justice but here are a few pics of the look.

Some of the items I used:

My Mugshot & Golden Olive Eyes

Do you love my mug shot? I do! How cute, huh?? I use this palette a lot. This is my go to palette when I’m in a rush or when I don’t have a clue what to do with my makeup for the day. Today I was in the mood for some golden smokey olive eyes. I hope you all love this look as much as I do.

Beachy Waves & A Pop of Color

The weather has been absolutely amazing! Warm & sunny- just the way I like it. I thought it would be appropriate to do a chill beachy wave look in my hair. I’ve read that sea salt spray is is a great way to help to get that beachy look so I decided to get a bottle. I did not have any luck  finding some at the stores and I did not want to buy a bottle online, pay shipping (yadda, yadda, yadda!). So I thought to myself-”why don’t you make your own sea salt spray?”

My homemade sea salt spray came out pretty well. I sprayed it on my hair before using my Revlon Barrel Waver…(such crazy looking  hair tool!!)

These were the results I got from this crazy looking thing-

I was quite happy with how my hair came out and I’m sure I will be wearing this hairstyle a lot in the coming months.

Along with this summery hairstyle, I thought it would be oh so appropriate to do a beachy theme on my eyes. There is only one palette that I use more than any other during the summer months and that’s the Urban Decay Get Baked Palette.

The beautiful gold and  bronze colors compliment the bright intense blue color, Flipside, quite nicely.  I must admit that  it took me a while to get used to the ever so vibrant, Flipside. This is the look I came up with:

If you would like my “recipe” for sea salt spray, comment below and let me know!

Enjoy the rest of your week!
