Twenty-Two Days of Taupe: Day 8 & OOTD

Today’s taupe look is a bit more on the warmer side. Most of the colors used were from the Urban Decay Naked Palette. Believe it or not, this is my first time doing a taupe look with my Naked palette and I’ve owned this palette since July 2010!!!! Shame on me!

On a side note, I can’t tell you how much I’ve been diggin’ my berets! I only own three–very typical neural colors (to go with everything) but I think I may venture into different color ones–they are simply fabulous. Ugh–I can’t get enough!

And here is a breakdown of the look:

Quick outfit of the day–I’ve been into rockin’ a sweater and jeans lately–my comfy glam look-lol! It’s been so cold–who feels like dressing to the nines in this weather? Spring, where are you? O_o

The beret is from Forever 21, sweater is from Old Navy, jeans are from Forever 21.

My necklaces are from Charlotte Russe & my boots are from eBay. (*insert cheesy pose & smile in*) *lol* I LOVE these boots and need to get a new heel since I’ve worn these heels out.

Twenty-Two Days of Taupe: Day 7

Today today’s taupe look is a little more on the “dirty” side. Dirrrrty Taupe! *lol*
The colors were a little muddy but I still think it was a nice look–and it matched my sweater! See? *lol* Please don’t mind the messy updo. It’s been in the low 30′s and completely dreary out–I haven’t felt much like “dressing” up–it’s been comfy with a touch of glam for me :)

Sephora, Bath & Body Works and Yves Rocher Haul

I adore this Sephora reusable tote. I know I’ll be using it all the time :)

Patience has paid off! For months I’ve been lusting over some of the new Urban Decay holiday items but couldn’t justify paying those high prices. Thanks to the 20% off VIB Sale, I was able to buy all the things I wanted and saved some money!

Simplicity With A Bit of Glitz

Don’t I look evil? *lol* The devilish, Ms. Nancy Valentino

Hey Dolls!

Today’s outfit is rather boring–blacks, whites & silver however I thought the shows made this one post worthy. These shoes have been in my collection since 2006! I bough them at Payless for a photo shoot and never really knew where to wear them after the shoot. These shoes looks a bit on the prom/ party side but I don’t know–they just seem to work with my very simple and understated outfit. I have to tell you–I quite like this look. Six years later, I’m breathing new life into these heels! Yay!

All products on my eyes are from the Urban Decay Naked palette. I’m pretty sure this is going to be the hair and makeup I wear for Uproar 2011. My oh my, that is going to be an insane day…Out of all people….I was chosen to take part in something so special. They only pick ONE winner and it happened to be me. I guess luck is still on my side!

I threw a really messy wave in my hair to give it a bit of texture & volume. I didn’t curl every single strand of hair, I think that’s what makes it fun & interesting.

Hope you’re having a great Sunday evening. Off to take off my makeup & make dinner. Glamorous life, I know….*lol*

Urban Decay Naked Palette-To The Rescue!

Have you ever had a moment where you needed your makeup to look flawless but time was NOT on your side? Earlier in the month, I had a wedding to go to and the makeup I picked out did not look well with the dress. Running on such limited time, I busted out my Urban Decay Naked Palette because I thought a few of the colors would look perfect with my dress. The look came out fabulous and I was very happy that I had created such sultry smokey eyes in like 10 minutes!

Today I had a shoot and the focal point were my tattoos (be on the lookout for a tattoo collection video soon). I wanted my makeup to stand out for the sake of catching the ambiance spirit of the shoot. So I wound up doing my super quick smokey eye makeup that I did for the wedding. I used Virgin, Smog, Hustle & Creep. While the Naked Palette isn’t my favorite palette in the whole world, I love it because it has the ability to create fantastic sultry looks–in my case–when I’m on a time crunch and about to have a meltdown! *lol*

Crisis averted!

After the shoot, I got dressed and I wore my two newest accessories that my beautiful YouTube buddy, Tara sent me!

LONG BUT EXCITING WEEK AHEAD!! xo

Bohemian Chic

Today was warm enough to wear my maxi dress. This is one of my favorite dresses to wear in the Spring & Summer time. The stitching and detailing is just beautiful. this is the only maxi dress in my wardrobe, I want to invest in more of them.

This style of dress may not do  much to accentuate your height & length (I feel like I photograph somewhat stubby in it-lol), but it’s an ultra feminine piece to have in your closet.  I usually paid this dress with flat sandals and a clutch, I feel like a  bag–especially my LV Speedy 35 Monogram would just be overkill with this maxi dress. I got this beautiful vintage clutch from eBay some time ago…I believe it’s circa 1950′s. It pairs very nicely with this dress.

For makeup, I used a few golden olive colors from my Urban Decay Naked Palette. I wanted the look to be glowy, dewy, golden yet sultry. I don’t think the pictures do the look justice but here are a few pics of the look.

Some of the items I used:

My Mugshot & Golden Olive Eyes

Do you love my mug shot? I do! How cute, huh?? I use this palette a lot. This is my go to palette when I’m in a rush or when I don’t have a clue what to do with my makeup for the day. Today I was in the mood for some golden smokey olive eyes. I hope you all love this look as much as I do.
