It doesn’t get any better than these luscious & sultry colors. I have a few gripes about this palette but overall, I really love it. I’ll start with the cons and leave the best for last. The number one thing I dislike is the fact that it has crazy fall out! No matter how many times I tap off the excess color before applying to my eye, there is always some crazy fall out. I’m always sure to apply concealer AFTER using these shadows. Because of the massive amount of fall out, I would not recommend using these colors to line your lash line-you’re asking for trouble. The color doesn’t hold up too well. Number two-pigmentation, the colors aren’t as vibrant as I had hoped but after all, this palette was only $11.00 so what do you expect?!
Having said that I do believe that for $11.00 you get a lot of smokey versatile colors. There are unless possibilities & countless looks you can create with this palette. It’s really a smokey eyes lover’s dream. Personally, I don’t mind the fall out…I also am the proud owner of the Urban Decay Naked Palette, it’s obviously a more expensive palette however, the colors have insane fall out too.
I did a tutorial using this NYX palette (which will go up tomorrow) and I’m very happy with the quality & results I got using these lovely colors. This Smokey palette reminds me of a palette that Bobbi Brown released last Holiday season-lots of beautiful smokey/ taupe/ pewter colors…I wanted it-badly. It was $75.00. It was majorly gorg but I honestly could not justify spending that much on ONE palette.
Overall, I am satisfied with this products-as with most of my NYX products. Decent quality for cheap! I’d have to say I like NYX second best to MAC-that says ALOT.
