Red Lips Make Me Feel Super Sexy

Today I lost power JUST as I was about to do my hair and makeup. The weather has been horrid–cool, muggy, windy and raining. Just about any hairstyle or makeup would have looked like crap today so I went totally classic–after all, I literally got dressed by a tiny candle!  I went with a ballerina bun–kept my hair out of my face on a crappy day like today. Looking back on it, I wish I would have done a side swept updo–oh wait–I didn’t have power so that I could curl my hair–grr. Anyway–I LOVED my makeup–a combo of Brule, Wedge & Carbon =’s LOVE. On my lips, MAC’s Russian Red *swoon*–it looked FAB. I’m offically in love with this makeup combo. After I got home, I decided to play around with a 1940′s ‘do–the red lips made me feel like getting all vintage.

 

 

 

As for the outfit, I kept it very simple–it’s impossible to feel 100% comfortable in rainy weather. To jazz up my look–I pair a white V neck tee with a vintage inspired necklace–I got one for my friend Tara too! I wore mine for the first time today and I was in LOVE.

Semi Neutral Eyes & Dark Red Lips

One of the things I absolutely LOVE about Fall & Winter is that you can successfully wear a dark red lip. Ugh! There is just soemthing about it-it’s sexy, simple & very reminiscent of the days where the star machine was in full swing. To add to the look, I’m wearing my favorite plaid fitted shirt-this shirt is comfrtable and is one of my favorite pieces in my closet! And as always, I’m rocking my black boots-they despartely need new heel tips-I will never get rid of these boots! They are signature Valentino’s for sure.
