Sultry Gray & Plum Cat Eyes

I took this pic before I realized I needed a gloss touch up! *lol*

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to show you all one of the looks I created with the NYX I Dream of Barbados Palette. I’m in love with all of these colors!  I’m not big on wearing pinks and purples on my eyes but I do like it on a rare occasion. I do plan on doing some Valentines Day inspired looks as well as a few looks that are appropriate for the winter. I’m thinking a Snow Bunny look is in order for January 2011 with the NYX I Dream of Barbados Palette!  In the meantime, I created a Gray/Plum smokey eye and a cool toned pink lip.  I will be doing a full review on this NYX palette after I do my “Snow Bunny” look. I will say, though I’ve only used 3 of the 5 colors, I do like what I’m seeing.

I adore this palette because all the colors are cool toned but flattering. I’m glad I found a great pale pink gloss that was complementing.  I love Smashbox’s lip gloss in Pout almost as much as I love MAC’s Fashion Scoop. Fashion Scoop is wearable all year round where I find that Pout is only wearable in the wintertime. It just seems a bit much to wear on a hot 90 degree day, ya know??

Below in this piccy, I’m wearing Smashbox’s Pout on my lips.

As you can see from the pictures, I did a smokey cat eye. Cat eyes are a bit new to me…I never really wore my makeup this way but it’s a nice change…. definitely adds more of a sexy & sultriness  to the look. *rawr* <–LOL!

Hope you all are enjoying the holiday season! Three more days!!! Gosh, I remember when the eBay countdown said “53 days” ahh!!

Gray Smokey Eyes & Pink Lips Equals LOVE.

…hello Fall/Winter make up looks! Dramatic grays & blacks are my favorite during this season.

The gray smokey eye/ pink lip/ light pink cheek  combo NEVER gets old to me. I don’t know what it is about highlighters-I’m obsessed. I prefer the liquid versions to the powder ones. I really like Benefit’s High Beam (Moon Beam is pretty good too).

One (of the many palettes) that I’m loving right now is the NYX Winter in Moscow palette. Tacky packaging but very inexpensive! As I mentioned before, this palette reminds me of a limited edition palette Bobbi Brown released for the holidays in 2009-it had 10  beautiful smokey colors…totally up my alley…however the price tag was a whopping $75.00-totally NOT up my alley.  When I saw this NYX palette for $18, I HAD to get it-the size of the eye shadow are a bit smaller than I would have liked but you get a lot of colors and what is the likelihood that you’re actually going to rifle through them all like that anyway? *lol* This palette also comes with blush & lip glosses…meh…not usually a fan of those HOWEVER on to the subject of lips.

I can’t get enough of MAC’s cremesheen glass in Fashion Scoop. Paired with smokey brown,  blacks or any color at all…this gloss look fantastic with anything & everything! This is one of those products that looks good-all the time-any season, any day.

This makeup look equals LOVE. *sigh*

My Mugshot & Golden Olive Eyes

Do you love my mug shot? I do! How cute, huh?? I use this palette a lot. This is my go to palette when I’m in a rush or when I don’t have a clue what to do with my makeup for the day. Today I was in the mood for some golden smokey olive eyes. I hope you all love this look as much as I do.

International Goodies & A Bad British Accent

I may not have a lot of friends but the ones I do have are amazing and I’m thankful to have them in my life. Although they are both an ocean away, I’m grateful to have Carine & Katrina in my life! I do makeup swaps with these lovely ladies and I would like to share some of the items I was recently sent by them both.

I’ve heard of Barry M products for some time now and I really wanted to try some of the glitter dust & dazzledusts. Here are a few pictures, I love them all. They all have great pigmentation. Thank you for everything, Katrina!! xo

And here is what my coffee drwaer looks like at the moment. Insane, I know. I will use them all up-no doubts there. Thank you, Carine. I love them all! xo

NYX Rock & Roll Eye Shadow Trio

I’ve really been a big fan of NYX lately. I recently picked up a few of the NYX trio eye shadows because they had some awesome colors and they were very inexpensive. I am really lovin’ the Rock & Roll eye shadow trio-out of all the trios I own, it’s one of the most unique combos in my NYX collection. I love the mix of mattes, warm & cool tones.

These swatches don’t do these colors justice. As you can see, the lightest color is pretty non existent.

I have a fabulous blue shirt and had found it difficult to match shoes & eye makeup with it….that is…until I bought this eyeshadow trio! Here are a few pics taken from my latest tutorial using these fabulous colors:
