I got my hair cut a few days ago. I walked in wanting only 1 inch off
but walked out with about 3-4 inches taken off. *sighs* I hate when
the hair stylist goes “chop happy”…
It looks okay I suppose. It looks a lot better than it used to–I had
so many split ends and it started to look down right stringy. I have
to admit that it’s a vast improvement–a lot fuller and healthier but
when I curl it, it feels SO short. I have to get used to it.
Now that my hair is freshly cut, I thought this would be a great
opportunity to invest in some better hair care products. Prior to my
hair cut, I’d been only using Tresemme Heat Protectant in my
hair–nothing else to really nurture my locks.
I don’t wash my hair that often (because it doesn’t need it–I never
have oily hair!) I thought it’d be a good investment to pick up a
bottle of clarifying shampoo. I only wash my hair about 2 times a
month and one out of two of the washes will be with Sauve clarifying
shampoo. It’s going to help get rid of any build up of product that
still may be left in my hair after a regular wash.
After 6 years, my beloved T3 flat iron is dying on me. It doesn’t
straighten my hair as pin straight as it used to so I invested in ghd
Classic 1 inch flat iron. I thought about a CHI flat iron but I read
too many bad reviews….

…to go with my new flat iron, I bought Got 2 B Guardian Angel Heat
Protectant Flat Iron Balm. What caught my eye was the fact that it
protects you hair against heat as high as 425 degrees.
I bought a bottle of FX Silk Serum because I constantly use massive
amounts of heat on my hair. This one tames frizziness, split ends and
makes hair look shiny.
And the last thing? It’s something I’m stoked about trying!! Got 2 B
POWDER’ful Volumizing Styling Powder! I LOVE BIG, voluminous hair.
I’m hoping this will help me achieve bigger hair without teasing as
much…
That concludes my mini hair care haul–I’ll be blogging about my
thoughts on this powder once I give it a try.
