Makeup Brands that disappointed:
Certain Chanel products–for the money, pigmentation should be up to par.
Urban Decay: more along the lines of how they promoted Naked 2-it was shady and rubbed me the wrong way.
Sigma: advertising whores. I’d rather pay double for MAC brushes in the future.

I can’t wait to see what new & exciting beauty items catch my eye in 2012!!

An Autumn Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Bittersweet October. The mellow, messy, leaf-kicking, perfect pause between the opposing miseries of summer and winter.

First Fall Outfit of the Season

“When you can’t change the direction of the wind — adjust your sails.” ~ H. Jackson Brown

Okay! So it’s not technically Autumn…yesterday it was a bit unseasonably cool outside so I busted out one of my new sweaters. I’m ALL about loose fitting sweaters, short shorts & heels. It’s my favorite type of outfit to wear. I kept the outfit very neutral and went for a matching makeup & shoe *lol*  The the true color of the shoes didn’t really show up too well, except in the above pic. I used my new Loew-Cornell Maxine Mop 3/8 inch brush–it’s a great dupe for the MAC 239 brush. I’m in love with it!

A Spicy Colored Look of the Day

Today was another typical Fall day. Here are some photos of my outfit and make up of the day!

I love this shirt! I bought it at Charlotte Russe about 3 years ago. It will never go out of style-it has a bit of a vintage feel to it. The colors of this shirt actually (as random as this sounds) remind me of a spice wafer!

I’m not to keen on turtle neck, I like cowl neck shirts better…it gives you room to breathe! *lol* Over all, this shirt is perfect for the Fall season. The only thing I’d change about this outfit are the boots. I realized after the fact that my reddish borwn slouchy boots would have looks perfect. Perhaps too matchy matchy? We shall have to see.

The makeup I wore today:

EYES:

NYX Iced Mocha e/s

MAC Patina e/s

MAC Espresso e/s

MAC Brun e/s

MAC Reflects Antique Gold Glitter

Cover Girl Champagne (on brow bone)

FACE:

A little Too Faced Bronzer

Just a “dab” of Too Faced Highlighting powder

LIPS:

NARS Turkish Delight (love.)

For Accessories, I went rather casual with the watch, necklace & bracelet. The faux diamond cluster earrings gave the look ” a little something” & jazzed it up a bit!

Autumn Leaves & Outfit of the Day

This photo was taken on 10/03/10-It was officially the 1st day it actually felt like Fall! I was so happy that I got to bust out the Emu’s!

Outfits, Lotions & Perfumes…Oh My!

Ok, I had to add this piccy from today. I’m absolutely lovin’ this outfit. Preppy meets Rocker Chic *lol*

My Fall & Winter Fashion Must Haves

The Fall season is JUST around the corner, so you know what that means?? Shopping for new Fall fashion goodies!!  I found myself purchasing most of my clothing overseas. I’m completely obsessed with the fashions in Asia. It’s always chic & original.

I’m happy to say that I am just about done all my Fall clothes shopping. If you watch my YouTube videos, then you know that I talked about putting myself on a ban. That means NO shopping for clothing or makeup-essentials only. While it’s strict, I think it’s necessary; besides, I stocked up on some major fashionable goodies and I’m excited to share them with you!

I would not  consider myself “trendy”. I NEVER buy clothing that’s going to be in for one season and out the next-it’s a complete waste of money.Everything I purchased for the Fall/ Winter were items that I had been wanting for a while and I’d like to think I will get a few seasons out of all these awesome clothes.

Drum roll please…. *lol*

I’ve kept the colors in my wardrobe to grays, pewter, black-anything super dark.

Plaid: Suddenly, I find myself completely obsessed with plaid-especially anything with the color black in it.

Draped Sleeves: I’ve gravitated toward shirts that drape. I especially like plain colored shirts with the draping sleeves. It gives you the opportunity to accesorieze accordingly and gives you endless options. Totally wearable day or night and oh so comfortable.

Princess Sleeves: Slightly puffy & ruffled, they can make your outfit look so classic & feminine.

Applique Style Tops: Super feminine & lady like! Yet another option to make a plain shirt looks fashionable & feminine. In my opinion, this style can look somewhat vintage

Slouchy boots: I’m usually the girl who wears Uggs from Fall to Spring but Uggs aren’t a dressy look and certainly can make an outfit look drab. Slouchy boots enable me to still wear flat boots but they can make your outfit look chic.

Black Boyfriend Blazer paired with skinny jean & booties or heels: Where do I even begin? I’ve adored this look for so long. It’s a look that you often see the beautiful Kim Kardashian wearing. Very stylish & wearable day or night!

Dolman Styles Shirts: This is a stlye that I’ve seen for a quite awhile now.  It’s a simple yet stylish piece.
