Today’s mini beauty review is on Benefit’s Watts Up! I am a highlighter junkie! I adore a little luminous glow on the face so when I found out this fabulous item was hitting the beauty scene, I HAD to have it.  I love items that are cream to powder like this pretty little gem.

Benefit describes Watts Up! as a luminous champagne sheen highlighter for the face. You can apply this item to the cheekbones and brow bones for “sculpt” the face.  As you can see in the picture, it comes with a spongey applicator on the tip of the product to blend. I like the idea of the sponge but after a few uses, I feel like the sponge becomes kind of unsanitary. There is no way to change it out so you’d have to blend out the product with either a brush or the spongey applicators you find at Target.

As for the “luminous champagne glow”…

It felt like butter-smooth and creamy. When you first apply the product to the cheek bones, it looks like a BRONZER! It was very dark and I got a little scared that I used too much-*lol* but once it’s blended out, it softens for a champagne glow. It’s nice but it was a little darker than I would have liked it to be. HOWEVER, after taking pictures for this post, I noticed that the champagne glow was captured beautifully. There are not too many highlighters in my collection that are captured so well when I take photos.

The more I think about it, the lighting in my room wasn’t all that great today which is why I may not have noticed the luminous glow full on.

My final verdict-

It’s a fabulous little highlighter and I think it’s gonna look killer on many different skin tones. I would definitely re-purchase.  As I said, what really blew me away was the beautiful subtle glow on my face in the pictures…
