My Infamous Little Blue Dress

…it’s infamous to me at least! Someone once told me this dress was nothing more than “a cheap jersey dress”–I have to laugh at that because yes, it was cheap–only $11! And here I am, 3 seasons later, still in love with it.

This is the same dress I wore when my picture was used on the Animal Planet Travel Pet Bed so whenever I wear this dress, I can’t help but feel happy.

Blue can be a tricky color–often times I find it harder to pair other colors with it. I like to play it safe and keep all other colors, including makeup, neutral.

Bold Florals

I love rediscovering pieces in my wardrobe. Yesterday I was moving all my winter clothes into storage & moving my Summer things into my closet–4 hours of ironing later–I came across this dress from F21 that I have not worn since Summer 2010.

I adore floral pieces during the Spring & Summer months and while this particular dress does not fit into this season’s current color scheme, it’s still vibrant & so much fun to wear.

What I love about this dress is the halter top & the exposed back. This dress is so lightweight and is proportioned beautifully. Because the back is so exposed, the length of the dress was a little above the knee but no where near short.

I paired the dress with a messy fishtail braid and kept accessories at a minimum. I kept the makeup soft yet smokey (you know how I do ;p) with colors that were bronzey & warm brown. I kept the lips a very subtle shade of coral.

Happy Spring!

Today officially marked the first day of the Spring season so I decided to wear a dress & sandals. Since there was a bit of chill to the air, I added a pop of color by wearing a coral cardigan.

Sorry I don’t have more photos of this look but hopefully we will have more beautiful Spring days like today–which means more OOTD posts!

Feeling Nostalgic

“It’s beauty that captures your attention; personality which captures
your heart.” -Unknown

Today I felt like wearing a dress. There is something about a dress,
especially in the summer time, it makes you feel extra feminine &
glamorous. I have quite a few summer dresses in my wardrobe but this
one makes me feel a bit vintage with the way that it’s cut. In fact, I’d say this dress makes me feel somewhat nostalgic.

Today I did my hair a bit different–an oversized bun with a middle part. It
felt super elegant & sleek–I’m in love.

Today’s makeup:
I tried something new with my Too Faced New Smokey Eye Palette. I used
all the colors in the day look. I may do a tutorial on it because I
was very happy with the way it came out.
MAC Coffee Eyeliner
MAC Museum Bronze Pigment
Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara (2 coats)

MAC Soft & Gentle to highlight,
Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer
MAC MSF in Medium Plus

MAC Playing Koi lipstick
NARS Turkish Delight lipgloss

A Chill & Feminine Look

Yesterday felt nothing like autumn; it was a hot and steamy ninety something out so I opted to go a la casual.  I wore a sundress and a loose side ponytail. My hair literally took 5 minutes. For makeup, I went with a nude yet slightly rosy pink-I’ve been wearing it A LOT lately. On eyes, I used a combo of MAC’s Sable & Jest with black liquid eyeliner on the top & bottom lid. I’m fond of light lid colors and liquid liners. I have to admit, I never used to line my upper lash line but as my makeup obsession grows, so does my boldness to try new looks.

Hope you all have a fabulous week! xx

New Clothes from Asia

I recently purchased some things directly from Asia and they finally came! I find myself becoming more and more into fashion and I have always admired the fashion from overseas. It’s a bit different & that’s what I love about it.

Here are few things that I got:

I LOVE this white dress; I’ve never seen anything like it. It screams classic & timeless & most of all, elegant.  I think it will be a beautiful addition to my collection. It was supposedly a “one size fits all”  dress which is bull because the dress is teeny tiny-thankfully it was a perfect fit!

I have always been into form fitting blazers. I started to get tired of the same ol’  styles so thats what I love this blazer. It reminds me a little of the 1980′s because it’s a little roomy. Paired with a form fitting tank, an over sized pin, jeans and flats, this is going to be a fierce look. I can’t wait!

This is another cute blazer, this one is not as over sized and actually has 3 buttons on it (as opposed to the other one that only had one button). It’s light weight and like the other blazer, it’s a perfect fit! I’m really into flats so this is another item that will look cute with jeans & flats.
