I’m Gaga for…

VIVA GLAM GAGA!!!!!!! Yes, I’m so late to the party. But I love it now and that’s all that matters.
(Bland but comfy OOTD–I had to do grocery shopping)

I suppose this blog post will be boring for some however, I’m just
know finding myself on the Viva Glam Gaga bandwagon. I originally
bought the lipstick when it first came out last year, but I felt that
it looked a bit lackluster alone. After many months of debating, I
picked up the Viva Glam Gaga lipglass  & hoped to pair the lipstick &
lipglass together in hopes of better results (after all, the lipstick
if gorg in the tube).

The verdict? LOVE. I absolutely adore a combo of the two together!
Adding the lipglass over the lipstick really adds a pop of vibrancy.
I paired my Viva Glam Gaga lip combo with a soft, shimmery pink eye
shadow & a cool toned brown eye shadow in the crease. I also added a
touch of pink iridescent glitter–after all, rockin’ Viva Glam Gaga
allows you to push some boundaries :)

A Dupe For MAC’s Fashion Scoop???

I had high hopes. As you know, Fashion Scoop is my holy grail of pink glosses. I absolutely love it.  I was a little surprised to see a color so close to Fashion Scoop  when I was cruising the Walmart website–I came across the Hard Candy lip gloss in Girl Next Door.  I immediately thought to myself–this is a dupe for MAC’s Fashion Scoop and it’s only $5!  Initially when looking at them both in the tube the color is very similar-that milky baby pink with a subtle amount of shimmer.

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. While it is pretty to look at, this product virtually has no pigmentation/ color. I really had to put several coats on my lips and I found that it still left my lips with no color on it.

I don’t know if I’ll ever find a dupe for this product but I tried. $18 is not so bad to pay when you’re a makeup junkie like myself. For $18, I feel as though I get my money’s worth with Fashion Scoop. It goes on smoothly and has lots of pigmentation to it. but I must admit, I am bummed that I wasted $5.00 on something that’s most likely going in the trash.

Sultry Romantic Look

20100122-DSC_5398

Wow! Valentine’s Day is just about 3 weeks away so I decided to try to create a Valentine’s Day inspired look. As you know, I am all about the smoky eye so I wanted to incorporate that into the look. I call this look my Sultry Romantic look. I’m always looking for more ways to wear more pink eye shadow and what I really love about this look is it’s a nice spin to such a classic look.
