Argan Oil vs Maracuja Oil

Today I’m going to be talking about two essential oils that I can not live without during these  bitterly cold winter months. It’s been down right frigid–temperatures in the negative & gusty  winds…means only one thing…DRY SKIN!

I’ve been a long time fan of argan oil, a great friend of mine named Carine introduced me to this amazing oil. She lives in France so it’s not so easy to get a hold of. I’m on my last bottle and hope to find it here in the States. I believe Josie Maran sells it.

I always use argan oil on my body during the winter time. I love combining a pump or two with my body lotion. I get the scent of my lotion and the added moisture from the oil. argan oil is scentless so this is perfect for me. Not only is argan oil good for the skin but it’s beneficial for your hair too! I like adding it to my hair, concentrating on my ends before bed. argan oil is rich in Vitamin E, carotene and essential fatty acids. It’s a fabulous anti-aging product & helps mend damage hair. I love products like this that are great for the body, face AND hair!

I recently got a sample of Tarte’s Maracuja Oil which I’ve been using for my face at night time. You can also use it on your hair too! Like my argan oil, I use a drop or two with my face cream though you can use the oil by itself. I just like to think of it as an added shield from dryness. It’s scentless which is a plus!

Maracuja oil is rich in Vitamin C and essential fatty acids that help to nourish your skin. Like the argan oil, this product is good for your hair too–especially damaged hair. Maracuja oil is also an amazing anti-aging product and also replenishes your skin and hair.

When it comes down to it, they are both extremely similar. For now I stick to using the Argan Oil on my primarily on my body & hair and the Tarte’s Maracuja Oil on my face at night time just because Tarte’s product is geared toward using on your face and hair, not the body. I find them both to be lifesavers and even in this bitterly cold weather I am not experiencing ANY dryness on my face and body.

Are you a fan of Argan or Maracuja Oil??
