A Chill & Feminine Look
Yesterday felt nothing like autumn; it was a hot and steamy ninety something out so I opted to go a la casual. I wore a sundress and a loose side ponytail. My hair literally took 5 minutes. For makeup, I went with a nude yet slightly rosy pink-I’ve been wearing it A LOT lately. On eyes, I used a combo of MAC’s Sable & Jest with black liquid eyeliner on the top & bottom lid. I’m fond of light lid colors and liquid liners. I have to admit, I never used to line my upper lash line but as my makeup obsession grows, so does my boldness to try new looks.
Hope you all have a fabulous week! xx
New Polishes For Autumn
I was recently introduced to Zoya nail polish. One of my Twitter buddies recommended that I try a color called “Kelly” by Zoya. It’s a beautiful medium toned gray. It looks slightly blue in the bottle; sometimes it looks a bit lilac in the bottle. I really like colors that are unusual & different; colors that aren’t just one definable color.
I also picked up two other nail polishes by Zoya as well. “Casey” is one of my signature colors-it’s very vampy and rich. It reminds me of Rimmel’s Deliciously Dark but ten times better in consistency. It’s a super rich and deep plum color-almost black. I don’t usually like wearing a plain black nail polish. Casey is the perfect color because it’s dark & dramatic without being plain & boring.
One of the most interesting colors I picked up from Zoya is called “Cola”. Is it funny to say that this color actual reminds me of Coca-Cola?! This is the perfect color to wear in the Fall however, I think it’s a great color to use throughout the Fall and into Winter. In the bottle the color gives off a coca-cola red (like the cans). On the nails, the color the color is more of a medium red/ dark brown. Yet another interesting & unique polish to add to my ever growing collection!
