Beachy Waves & A Pop of Color

The weather has been absolutely amazing! Warm & sunny- just the way I like it. I thought it would be appropriate to do a chill beachy wave look in my hair. I’ve read that sea salt spray is is a great way to help to get that beachy look so I decided to get a bottle. I did not have any luck  finding some at the stores and I did not want to buy a bottle online, pay shipping (yadda, yadda, yadda!). So I thought to myself-”why don’t you make your own sea salt spray?”

My homemade sea salt spray came out pretty well. I sprayed it on my hair before using my Revlon Barrel Waver…(such crazy looking  hair tool!!)

These were the results I got from this crazy looking thing-

I was quite happy with how my hair came out and I’m sure I will be wearing this hairstyle a lot in the coming months.

Along with this summery hairstyle, I thought it would be oh so appropriate to do a beachy theme on my eyes. There is only one palette that I use more than any other during the summer months and that’s the Urban Decay Get Baked Palette.

The beautiful gold and  bronze colors compliment the bright intense blue color, Flipside, quite nicely.  I must admit that  it took me a while to get used to the ever so vibrant, Flipside. This is the look I came up with:

If you would like my “recipe” for sea salt spray, comment below and let me know!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

  2. I used a sea salt spray from John Masters Organics, Sea Mist, that I heard was really good. Sea salt is really drying to the hair and scalp and this product had lavender oil that was supposed to help counteract the drying effects of the sea salt. Nope. It made both my hair AND my scalp REALLY dry and itchy. I was bummed too, because it made my hair look quite lovely. :)

  3. You are so gorgous! I would love that recipe please. I found the same problems as Irene with the ones I bought!
