Must Have Hairspray’s

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

I love these two products-they have become “must have” items for me!

L’Oreal Elnett Hairspray-

I would have to say that one of the best hairsprays out there is L’Oreal’s Elnett hairspray.  What I love about this product is it hold my hair in place and it’s it a soft satin-like finish. It’s also very eary to comb out of my hair. The smell is definitely a bit weird-it smells like something your granny would use however, the hairspray works wonderfully and that’s what keeps me coming back to it.  It’s about $15 but it’s well worth it because I get fabulous results every time.

For teasing & lots of mega volume, I use Aussie’s Aussome Volume Hairspray. This hairspray is quite sticky and has made my hair a bit knotty on a very windy day but I love the fact that’s it’s like instant glue in my hair and keeps my volume in. I use it on the crown of my head-spray each section & tease. It also has a pleasant fragrance to it too!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Hello Everyone! I haven’t blogged in quite some time. I’ve been quite unmotivated to do anything since we had 2 massive snowstorms last week. I hope you all had a fabulous Valentine’s Day. It just occurred to that I got engaged 7 years ago today! My, oh my, time certainly does fly.

Today was a really nice…I did a little shopping at MAC & Ulta and had a late lunch at Starbucks. It was a really great afternoon. Today at Ulta- I found (what I hope is) a dupe for MAC’s Coconut Ice nail polish. I’m excited to try that out.

I was very excited about the outfit I wore today-I bought these fabulous royal blue pumps about a month ago and I was waiting for just the right time to wear them! What I love about these pumps are that they are unique-it’s not everyday that you see someone wearing velvery royal blue shoes.  The shoes actually reminded me a bit of Carrie Bradshaw’s “Something Blue” pumps by Manolo Blahnik (just for the simple fact that they are a deep blue). Obviously you really can’t compare the two but, these pumps are going to be one of those classic items in my collection-they pair well with jeans or could go with just the right workplace attire…I know I’ll be able to make it work!

I also treated myself to the “Large Oval Key” from Tiffany’s.  I bought it about a week ago & I was not sure if  I was going to wait until Mother’s Day or just cave in & open it on Valentine’s Day. I just could not wait…it’s so beautiful and I absolutely love it. I think out of all the keys, I’m most fond about the oval one.
